People, process, product.
Most small businesses already have the first and the last. Good people, a product that works. The part that breaks is process: no written procedures, too many manual steps, and tools that don't talk to each other. That's where I come in.
Bottleneck first, then the next one
We find the biggest bottleneck
A conversation about what eats your team's week. Prospecting, follow-up, invoicing, reporting, training, whatever it is. I look at the tools you already use and where people are acting as the glue between them.
I build the fix
Usually a working version within the first couple of weeks. Not a slide deck or a proposal. Something your team can use.
Your team learns it
Walkthroughs, recorded videos, and written steps so nothing is a black box. If I disappeared tomorrow, your team could still run it.
We move to the next one
Once the first fix is running, we pick the next bottleneck. Fifteen hours a month goes a long way when you work one problem at a time.
What to expect
Week 1
Discovery. A few Zoom calls with you and your team, a look at your tools, and a map of how work actually moves through the business.
Week 2
A short, prioritized list: what to automate first, what can wait, and what isn't worth doing at all.
Weeks 3 and 4
The first fix is live. Your team is using it, and we know what we're tackling next.
I use whatever fits. Starting with what you have.
Day to day that means n8n for workflows, Supabase for data, and Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini for the AI parts, plus the CRM, accounting and scheduling tools you already pay for. I've been building with AI every day since ChatGPT launched in November 2022, so I can tell you which tools are worth it and which are hype.
Knowing the tools isn't the hard part, though. Knowing how to put them together for your business is.
Zoom by default. In person when it's really needed.
Most of this work happens over Zoom and screen shares. With the tools available now, I get far more done remotely, and driving across town burns hours that could go into building. I'm based in Overland, about 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, so we can meet in person when it truly helps. It's just rare that we need to.
